Belongs to Bothriodon according to Y.-X. Xu 1961
Sister taxa: Bothriodon advena, Bothriodon sandaensis, Bothriodon velaunus
Type specimen: IVPP V2599, a tooth. Its type locality is Caijiachong (Young and Bien original site), which is in an Eocene terrestrial horizon in the Caijiachong Formation of China.
Ecology: ground dwelling browser
Distribution: found only at Caijiachong (Young and Bien original site)
