Sister taxon: Heterocoryphodon xuae
Type specimen: IVPP V10731, a maxilla (Maxillae). Its type locality is Laowanggou, which is in an Eocene terrestrial claystone in the Wutu Formation of China.
Ecology: ground dwelling herbivore
Distribution: found only at Laowanggou
