Type specimens:

• Brontopodus changlingensis: CYCD-09 FP8, a footprint. Its type locality is Yuanjitun, Cangling tracksite 1, which is in a Turonian/Coniacian terrestrial sandstone in the Jiangdihe Formation of China.
• Chuxiongpus zheni:

Distribution: found only at Yuanjitun, Cangling tracksite 1
