Type specimen: SDSNH 31788, a tooth (m1 or m2). Its type locality is Carmel Mountain Ranch Unit 15 Site 2 (SDSNH 3373), which is in an Uintan terrestrial horizon in the Friars Formation of California.

Ecology: arboreal insectivore-omnivore

Distribution: found only at Carmel Mountain Ranch Unit 15 Site 2 (SDSNH 3373)
