Type specimen: SAM-PK-K11235, a partial skull (missing the left subtemporal bar and both postorbital bars). Its type locality is Driekoppe, Vredelus, Fraserburg, which is in a Wuchiapingian floodplain siltstone in the Teekloof Formation of South Africa.
