Type specimen: PVL 4262, a partial skeleton. Its type locality is Estancia Pampa Grande, which is in a Lutetian terrestrial mudstone/sandstone in the Lumbrera Formation of Argentina.

Distribution: found only at Estancia Pampa Grande
