Sister taxa: Limnofregata azygosternon, Limnofregata hutchisoni

Type specimen: GMNH PV 170, a partial skeleton (skull and mandible with quadrates, lacrimáis, palatines, atlas, axis, and cervical vertebrae 3-7). Its type locality is Lewis Ranch Site 2, which is in a Wasatchian terrestrial horizon in the Green River Formation of Wyoming.

Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore

Distribution:

Total: 3 collections each including a single occurrence
