Type specimen: PIN 683/1, a skull. Its type locality is Mamadysh, PIN 683, which is in an Ufimian/Kazanian terrestrial horizon in the Belebey Formation of the Russian Federation.
Ecology: amphibious carnivore
Distribution: found only at Mamadysh, PIN 683
