Type specimen: USNM 550911a. Its type locality is Due east of Campbell Island, which is in a Bartonian carbonate limestone in the Castle Hayne Formation of North Carolina.
Ecology: stationary low-level epifaunal suspension feeder
Distribution: found only at Due east of Campbell Island
