Sister taxa: Eokosovopeltis currajongensis, Eokosovopeltis grandicurvatus, Eokosovopeltis romanovskii

Type specimen: NIGP 155179, a cephalon/head (cranidium). Its type locality is NJ686, Yijianfang section, Bachu area, which is in a Katian reef, buildup or bioherm limestone/reef rocks in the Lianglitag Formation of China.

Ecology: nektobenthic carnivore

Distribution: found only at NJ686, Yijianfang section, Bachu area
