Type specimen: UF 43069, a shell (Nearly complete carapace (a right hyoplastron, UF 246380 may represent part of the same individual)). Its type locality is Love Bone Bed, which is in a Clarendonian marginal marine horizon in the Alachua Formation of Florida.

Ecology: aquatic piscivore-carnivore

Distribution: found only at Love Bone Bed
