Type specimen: DMNH EPV.89000, a partial skeleton (disarticulated skeleton that includes portions of the shell, pelvis, appendicular elements, partial left? frontal, and partial left dentary). Its type locality is DMNH 4865 (Grand Staircase - Escalante National Monument), which is in a Campanian fluvial siltstone in the Kaiparowits Formation of Utah.

Ecology: aquatic omnivore

Distribution: found only at DMNH 4865 (Grand Staircase - Escalante National Monument)
