Type specimen: 1497, 1498, 1499, 1499a. Its type locality is Cache Peak (P-3643), which is in a Hemingfordian/Barstovian terrestrial horizon in the Bopesta Formation of California.

Distribution: found only at Cache Peak (P-3643)
