Type specimen: UCMP 11079, a shell. Its type locality is UCMP 3030, Fourth and Hill Streets, Los Angeles, which is in a Piacenzian marine claystone in the Fernando Formation of California.

Ecology: epifaunal carnivore

Distribution: found only at UCMP 3030, Fourth and Hill Streets, Los Angeles
