Sister taxon: Lazarussuchus inexpectatus
Type specimen: NMP Pb 1781 (incomplete left parietal). Its type locality is Merkur-North, which is in an Orleanian fluvial-lacustrine marl/coal in the Most Formation of the Czech Republic.
Ecology:
Distribution: found only at Merkur-North
