Type specimen: MNZ S38711, a set of limb elements (left humerus). Its type locality is Vatuma Cave, Viti Levu, which is in a Holocene cave horizon in Fiji.

Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore

Distribution: found only at Vatuma Cave, Viti Levu
