Type specimen: UABC FCM 0072, a mandible (nearly complete left mandible, including p2–4). Its type locality is Asuncion, which is in a Langhian/Tortonian marine conglomerate in the Torgugas Formation of Mexico.
Ecology: amphibious carnivore
Distribution: found only at Asuncion
