Type specimen: RC 68, a skull. Its type locality is Murraysburg Commonage (Cistecephalus Assemblage Zone), which is in a Wuchiapingian terrestrial horizon in South Africa.
Ecology: herbivore
Distribution: found only at Murraysburg Commonage (Cistecephalus Assemblage Zone)
