Type specimen: MCT 4387-M, a tooth (Left M3). Its type locality is São José de Itaborai, which is in an Eocene fissure fill marl in the Itaboraí Formation of Brazil.
Ecology: scansorial omnivore
Distribution: found only at São José de Itaborai
