Sister taxon: Jurabrontes teutonicus
Type specimen: SCR1500-T1-L8/MJSN-SCR011-553, a footprint. Its type locality is Courtedoux/Chevenez tracksites (level 1500), which is in a Kimmeridgian peritidal mixed carbonate-siliciclastic in the Reuchenette Formation of Switzerland.
