Type specimen: UCMP 37889, a carapace (Incomplete carapace plus left carpus and manus). Its type locality is UCMP D2506 Arroyo Doblegado, which is in a Pliocene marine sandstone in the Etchegoin Formation of California.

Ecology: epifaunal carnivore

Distribution: found only at UCMP D2506 Arroyo Doblegado
