Sister taxa: Diozoptyxis monilifera, Diozoptyxis pilgrimi
Type specimen: LACMIP 7908. Its type locality is LACMIP loc. 10905, Bear Creek, which is in a Coniacian shoreface sandstone in the Redding Formation of California.
Ecology: epifaunal grazer
Distribution:
• Cretaceous of United States (6: California collections)
Total: 6 collections each including a single occurrence
