Sister taxa: Potamides (Potamidopsis) californica, Potamides (Potamidopsis) tricarinatus
Type specimen: CASO 67884.01. Its type locality is CASG loc. 62583, North Folk Cottonwood Creek, which is in a Hauterivian marine horizon in the Budden Canyon Formation of California.
Ecology: epifaunal grazer

• Cretaceous of United States (2: California collections)
Total: 2 collections each including a single occurrence
