Type specimen: Institute of Geology, Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences, XG886-168. Its type locality is Gucuo Village, which is in a Cretaceous marine horizon in the Gucuo II Formation of China.
Ecology: facultatively mobile low-level epifaunal suspension feeder
Distribution: found only at Gucuo Village
