Type specimen: NMR 999100014035, a partial skull (partial skull including periotics). Its type locality is Pit De Griete, which is in a Tortonian marine sandstone in the Breda Formation of the Netherlands.
Ecology: aquatic suspension feeder
Distribution: found only at Pit De Griete
