Type specimen: USNM 16529, an osteoderm (four keeled, elongated osteoscutes). Its type locality is Henry's Fork, which is in an Eocene terrestrial horizon in the Bridger Formation of Wyoming.
Ecology: ground dwelling insectivore-carnivore
Distribution: found only at Henry's Fork
