Sister taxa: Haimea bajasurensis, Haimea caillaudi, Haimea cylindrica, Haimea gigantea, Haimea pentagona, Haimea subcylindrica
Type specimen: UF 238474, a test. Its type locality is Leon Brooks quarry, which is in a Priabonian deep subtidal shelf limestone in the Ocala Formation of Florida.
Ecology: slow-moving semi-infaunal detritivore
