Type specimen: LACMIP 11418, a shell. Its type locality is Satsop River, west fork, which is in an Eocene/Eocene basinal (carbonate) limestone in the Humptulips Formation of Washington.
Ecology: facultatively mobile deep infaunal chemosymbiotic
