Type specimen: LACM PB-1541. Its type locality is LACM 1925 Cabrillo Beach, which is in a Miocene terrestrial horizon in the Monterey Formation of California.
Ecology: stationary epifaunal "photoautotroph"
Distribution: found only at LACM 1925 Cabrillo Beach
