Type specimen: IVPP V25324, a partial skull (partial skull with some disarticulated cranial and postcranial elements). Its type locality is Hongshi pit, Badaohao coal mine, which is in an Aptian/Albian fluvial-lacustrine /coal in the Shahai Formation of China.
Ecology: planktonic suspension feeder
Distribution: found only at Hongshi pit, Badaohao coal mine
