  • Tomarctus brevirostris: Its type locality is Courthouse Butte, which is in a Hemingfordian terrestrial horizon in the Pawnee Creek Formation of Colorado
  • Aelurodon francisi: Its type locality is Niscavit Farm, which is in a Barstovian terrestrial horizon in the Fleming Formation of Texas.
  • Aelurodon simulans:

Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore-omnivore

Distribution:

• Miocene of Panama (2 collections), United States (18: California, Colorado, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, Texas)

Total: 20 collections each including a single occurrence
