Type specimen: FMNH P12029, a partial skeleton (Anterior portion of skull with complete dentition (except for M3), jaw, proximal portion of ulna, and axis. C1 and m3 not fully erupted.). Its type locality is Rabbitt Creek, which is in a Miocene terrestrial horizon in the Deep River Formation of Montana.

Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore

Distribution: found only at Rabbitt Creek
