Type specimens:
- Anaptomorphus aemulus: AMNH. 5010, a mandible (left ramus of mandible with P4-M2, inclusive). Its type locality is Ham's Fork, which is in a Bridgerian terrestrial horizon in the Bridger Formation of Wyoming.
- Anaptomorphus wortmani: Y.P.M. No. 13233, a mandible (right ramus of mandible with M1-M3, inclusive).
Ecology: arboreal insectivore
Distribution:
• Eocene of United States (9: Utah, Wyoming collections)
Total: 9 collections each including a single occurrence
