Type specimen: MUVP 500, a partial skeleton (associated partial skeleton of a single individ- ual including the cranium, the right mandible, incomplete left mandible, isolated teeth, the fifth cervical, an). Its type locality is Al Amaim, which is in a Lutetian marine shale in the Midawara Formation of Egypt.

Ecology: aquatic carnivore

Distribution: found only at Al Amaim
