Type specimen: U.K.M.N.H. No. 8520, a mandible (fragmentary left mandible with P4-M2). Its type locality is University of Kansas Museum of Natural History Locality 32, which is in a Wasatchian terrestrial horizon in the Willwood Formation of Wyoming.

Ecology: arboreal omnivore

• Eocene of United States (52: Colorado, New Mexico, Wyoming collections)

• Clarkforkian of United States (4: Colorado, Wyoming)
