Type specimen: UCMP 12538, a partial skull ( Part of a left maxilla with P3 and, P4; part of a right mandibular parts of upper and lower incisors; right M2 and M;3 in a fragment of the maxilla; M2 and M3 ). Its type locality is Thousand Creek Formation, which is in a Hemphillian terrestrial horizon in the Thousand Creek Formation of Nevada.

Distribution: found only at Thousand Creek Formation
