Type specimen: Birbal Sahni Institute of Palaeobotany, Lucknow, BSIP 36910. Its type locality is Left bank of Ramthi River, Oodlabari, which is in a Miocene/Pliocene fluvial shale in India.

Ecology: "photoautotroph"

Distribution:

• Miocene to Pliocene of India (2 collections), Nepal (1)

• Miocene of Bhutan (1)

Total: 4 collections each including a single occurrence
