Type specimen: USNM 2139, a mandible (anterior part of a mandible with canine (or enlarged incisor) and three premolars). Its type locality is Mammal Quarry No. 1 (UCMP V-5003), which is in a Lancian terrestrial horizon in the Lance Formation of Wyoming.

Ecology: scansorial insectivore

Distribution:

• Cretaceous of Canada (3: Alberta, Saskatchewan collections), United States (10: Montana, Wyoming)
