Type specimen: TMNH10785, a partial skeleton (cranium with isolated right ear bones (periotic, tympanic bulla, and malleus), teeth, atlas, and many bone fragments including parts of the mandible and postcra). Its type locality is Toyohama, which is in a Burdigalian marine horizon in the Toyohama Formation of Japan.
Ecology: aquatic carnivore
Distribution: found only at Toyohama
