Type specimen: Museum am Schölerberg Pal 1609, a forewing. Its type locality is Piesberg quarry, "Flöz Dreibänke" (Museum am Schölerberg collection), which is in a Westphalian D lacustrine deltaic claystone in the Flöz Dreibänke Formation of Germany.
