Sister taxon: Cymaprimadon kenni

Type specimen: HC 750, a partial skeleton (skull, jaws, articulated vertebrae, and ribs). Its type locality is Chadronia Pocket, which is in a Chadronian terrestrial siltstone in the Chadron Formation of Nebraska.

Ecology: amphibious piscivore-durophage

Distribution: found only at Chadronia Pocket
