Type specimen: USNM 425589, a mandible (L dentary fragment preserving crowns of P3 (broken), P4-M2, and alveoli for I1, C1, P2, and M3). Its type locality is SC-4, which is in a Wasatchian terrestrial horizon in the Willwood Formation of Wyoming.
