Sister taxon: Miochinchilla plurinacionalis

Type specimen: SGOPV 4118, a partial skull (partial cranium preserving full maxillary dentition, disarticulated mandible in two pieces preserving full dentition except R incisor and Lm3, and associated bo). Its type locality is Chucal, which is in a Santacrucian floodplain sandstone in the Chucal Formation of Chile.

Ecology: ground dwelling herbivore

Distribution: found only at Chucal
