Type specimen: DMMM-PK-16-1, a partial skull. Its type locality is Fossils 'B1', Lower Bone Bed, Chiweta, which is in a Wuchiapingian terrestrial horizon in the Chiweta Beds Formation of Malawi.
Ecology: herbivore
Distribution: found only at Fossils 'B1', Lower Bone Bed, Chiweta
