Type specimen: I.G.M. No. 52-137, a partial skull (associated rami and left maxillary). Its type locality is Marfil, which is in a Bridgerian terrestrial horizon in the Guanjuato Red Conglomerate Formation of Mexico.

Ecology: ground dwelling herbivore

Distribution: found only at Marfil
