Type specimens:

  • Ectocion collinus: Its type locality is Cochrane 1, which is in a Ti1 terrestrial horizon in the Paskapoo Formation of Canada
  • Gidleyina montanensis: Its type locality is Princeton Locs. (Miscellaneous), which is in a Tiffanian terrestrial horizon in the "Fort Union No. 3" (= Melville) Formation of Montana.
  • Gidleyina silberlingi: Its type locality is Melville Locality 27, which is in a Tiffanian terrestrial horizon in the "Fort Union No. 3" (= Melville) Formation of Montana.
  • Gidleyina wyomingensis: USNM 20790, a mandible. Its type locality is West End, which is in a Tiffanian terrestrial horizon in Wyoming.
  • Meniscotherium semicingulatum:
  • Tetraclaenodon superior: Its type locality is Melville Localities 11/13, which is in a Tiffanian terrestrial horizon in the "Fort Union No. 3" (= Melville) Formation of Montana.

Ecology: ground dwelling herbivore

Distribution:

• Paleocene of Canada (6: Alberta collections), United States (21: Montana, North Dakota, Wyoming)

Total: 27 collections each including a single occurrence
