Type specimen: USNM 140517, a shell (Bivalved specimen). Its type locality is Horseshoe Canyon, Daggett County, which is in a Kungurian shallow subtidal limestone in the Park City Formation of Utah.

Distribution:

• Permian of Italy (6 collections), United States (7: Montana, Utah, Wyoming)

• Carboniferous of United States (1: New Mexico)

Total: 14 collections each including a single occurrence
