Sister taxa: Litoyoderimys auogoleus, Litoyoderimys lustrorum
Type specimen: SDSM 154969, 154970, a tooth. Its type locality is Arner Ranch ant mounds, which is in a Chadronian/Orellan terrestrial horizon in the Chadron Formation of Nebraska.
Ecology: ground dwelling herbivore
Distribution: found only at Arner Ranch ant mounds
