- Sespia nitida: Its type locality is Eagle Nest Butte (Sharps Fm.), which is in an Arikareean fluvial horizon in the Sharps Formation of South Dakota
- Sespia marianae: Its type locality is Redington Gap West (Basal Siltstone), which is in an Arikareean terrestrial horizon in the Brule Formation of Nebraska.
Distribution:
• Arikareean of United States (21: California, Colorado, Nebraska, South Dakota, Wyoming collections)
• Oligocene of United States (5: Nebraska, South Dakota)
Total: 26 collections each including a single occurrence
