Type specimen: CIT 1839, a set of teeth (An upper cheek tooth series, P2 to M3). Its type locality is Tapo Canyon (Upper), which is in an Uintan terrestrial horizon in the Sespe Formation of California.

• Eocene of United States (3: California, Texas collections)
